Getting started as a club owner
Set up your club in drillmate: its name and crest, the first team, your coaches, the membership fee and the club's rules.
Create the club
- Install drillmate on your phone, or open it on the web, and tap "Create account".
- Sign up with your email, or "Continue with Apple" or "Continue with Google".
- When the app asks "How will you use drillmate?", choose "I run a club or academy" and tap "Continue".
- Write the club's name, pick the club's colour and tap "Create club".
The club gets its own tab, "Club", in the middle of the tab bar (on the web, "Club" in the sidebar). It is the one home of everything about the club: the overview, people, fees, requests and reports.
Follow the first steps
The "First steps" card on "Overview" shows what to do next. Each step ticks itself once it is really done:
- "Add the club's crest and colour" — tap the club's banner at the top of the "Club" tab to open its profile.
- "Create the first team" — birth year, training days and venue. See Teams and players.
- "Invite coaches" — "Club" › "People" › "Invite". Choose the role and the teams they will run; the code works for 14 days, for one person.
- "Set the membership fee" — "Club" › "Fees" › "Amounts". See Membership fees.
- "Publish the club's rules" — on the club's profile. Families accept them in the enrolment form.
"Hide" puts the card away for good, on every device.
Roles in your club
- "Admin" runs the club with you: every team, invitations and the subscription.
- "Coach" runs their own teams: plans, players and the register.
- "Staff" see their teams and take attendance. Staff are a free seat.
- Any member except a parent can also be the club's treasurer: open the person in "People" and switch on "Treasurer". See Getting started as a treasurer.
Owner, admins and coaches take a paid seat on the Club plan; staff, parents and players are free.
The Club plan
The club's profile, people, roles and days off work on any plan. The club overview, membership fees, the coaches' work, codes for new staff and more than one team come with the Club plan, paid per coach on the web — never in the phone app. See Subscriptions and plans.
Handing the club over
Only one person owns a club. Before you leave, open a member in "People" and use "Transfer ownership" — to an admin or a coach. You stay an admin and can then leave.
