Children and parents
Effective date: 25 October 2026
This is the privacy notice for children and for the parents or guardians of children in drillmate, in short. The full text is the privacy policy (section 6) and the terms (section 7).
What a club records about a player
A coach or club enters a player to run trainings: name, shirt number, position, attendance, and the answers about coming. Optionally the year of birth, notes the coach writes (private to the staff unless the coach shares one with you), match lineups and results, and, where the club keeps them in drillmate, membership fees. The club decides what to record and is responsible for having the right to; drillmate keeps it on the club's behalf.
Match ratings are never shown to families. drillmate stores no photos of children, and never shows a child's surname on a shared image.
What you, the parent or guardian, see
You connect to your child only with a code from the club, and by entering it you confirm that you hold parental responsibility. You then see your child's schedule, attendance, the notes the coach shares, trophies and fees, and you answer whether your child is coming. You do the paperwork: the enrolment form (with an emergency contact and an optional note, such as allergies), the medical check date, and requests to pause or to leave. Nobody else sees the note you write on the form except the team's staff, the club's owner and admins.
An illness or injury given as a reason for not coming is health information. The reason is optional, and only the team's staff see it.
You can end your child's time on a team at any time.
A child's own account
- Under 13: never an account. A parent manages the record.
- 13 to 15: only an account a parent approved. You agree explicitly, we keep a record of who agreed, when and to which text, and you give your child a one-time code. You see everything your child answers and can switch the account off with one tap; it is then deleted. Your child does not do the family's paperwork.
- 16 and over: a player follows their own record with a code from the club.
For players aged 13 to 15, in short
- You see your trainings and matches and say if you are coming.
- Your parent sees everything you answer.
- If you say you are hurt or ill, your coach and your parent see it.
- There are no messages and no chat.
- Be fair: answer for yourself only, and keep your password to yourself.
- Your parent can turn your account off at any time. You can delete it yourself too.
What we do not do
No advertising, no tracking across other apps or websites, no profiling, no selling of data. We use children's data for nothing except showing it to the club and the family.
Your rights
You can see, export and delete data in the app (Menu › Privacy and data). To delete a child's record, end the child's time on the team or delete your account; a record no other parent holds is then deleted. A player who left a club is anonymised there after 24 months.
If you believe a child's data was entered without the right to, write to privacy@drillmate.app and we will look into it with the club.
