Getting started as a parent
Link your child with the code from the coach, then follow trainings and matches and tell the coach whether your child is coming.
Link your child
The coach gives you a code of 8 letters and digits, for example 4KSU W6PN, or a link with it.
- Install drillmate and tap "I have a code" on the first screen (or open the link).
- Enter the code, then create your account or sign in.
- You see whose code it is: the child, the team and the club. Tap "Link".
A code typed in before you had an account waits on the phone and is never used on its own: after you sign in you see it first and choose "Link" or "Not now".
Another child, or a second club? Open "Account" › "I have a code" and enter the new code. Both parents can link the same child, each with their own account.
Your tabs
- "Children" — your child's next training, the season and what the club asks of you.
- "Schedule" — every training and match, coming and past.
- "Notices" — the club's and the team's announcements, with a count of unread ones.
- "Account" — reports, notifications, privacy and the codes.
Say whether your child is coming
When the coach schedules a training, you are asked whether your child is coming. Tap "Coming" or "Not coming"; with "Not coming" you can say why, and for an injury or illness the day your child is back. You can change the answer until the training starts. See Scheduling and who's coming.
Follow the first steps
The "First steps" card ticks itself as you go: "Your child is linked", "Turn on notifications", "Fill in the enrolment form" (only when the club asks for one) and "Say whether you are coming to the first training".
Paperwork with the club
On your child's page you fill in the enrolment form, enter the day of the medical check, see the membership fees the club recorded, and ask for a pause or to leave. No money goes through the app: you pay the club as you always have. See Membership fees.
Your child's own account
From 13 to 15 your child can have their own account with your approval. See Your child's own account (13–15). From 16 the club gives the player their own code.
