Field mode and attendance
Run the training from your phone on the pitch, drill by drill, then take the register, write quick notes and send the families a summary.
Start the training
- Open today's training (on Overview it is the first card).
- Tap Start training. The plan must have at least one drill.
- Field mode shows one drill at a time, with its timer, coaching points and the animation. Tap Next to move on, Pause to stop the clock, Open the plan to see it all.
- After the last drill, tap Finish training. If you stop early with Stop training, the plan, the register and the notes stay as they are.
The team's coaches, its staff members and a coach covering the training can run field mode.
Take the register
Field mode leads straight to the register. You can also open Attendance from the training at any time.
Each player gets one of four marks:
- Present
- Late — counts as attended
- Excused — does not count against the player's attendance
- Absent
Players whose family said they are not coming are already shown as excused. Mark who did not come, then tap The rest were here (or Everyone was here). Every mark can be undone.
A family gets an Absence notification when their child is marked absent (they can turn it off).
Write notes
The next step is notes: optional, half a minute. Tap a player and choose Praise or Work on, pick up to three tags and add one sentence if you like.
A note is for the staff only. To show it to the family, turn on Share with parent; they see it under their child's development. There are no ratings in notes: a tag says what, not how much.
Send the summary to the families
The last step shows What the parents get: the drills, the minutes and the focus of the day, and the attendance. Tap Send to parents, or Not now to send it later from the training (Send the summary).
- It goes only to families of children who were there, and only to those who have not turned summaries off.
- It is sent on the day of the training or after it.
- The team's coaches and the club's owner and admins send it. Staff members do not message families.
Who led it
The first person to take the register (or enter a match result) is recorded under Led by on the training. A coach can change it there. The club uses it for the coaches' work report.
